We have received several emails asking us how to get started in the event planning business, how to price services and if we offer a mentoring program, etc. Well, we are excited to offer programs and sessions that we created for up and coming event planners. Our program will get you started in planning your first event without losing money, time or friends.

Internship Program
Our event planning internship program is for the dynamic, polished, creative young professional interested in entering the event planning world and whose main interest is to join The UpperRoom Events team. The student will assist with the day-to-day administration as well as provide creative input for our clients and events. Vendor and client interaction will allow our interns to gain further experience in the event planning industry. Interns will provide on-site support at a variety of events. Our internship programs will require a commitment of 20 hours per week in the office, at client meetings, set-ups and take down at the events. Our internships provide real work experience. 350 HOURS IS REQUIRED to complete the URE internship program and to gain a job opportunity with The UpperRoom Events. However this is flexible with each persons/students/schools needs. You must be an undergraduate or a high school student to apply for the Internship Program.
Associate Planner Program
The Associate Planner Program is an opportunity for experienced wedding planners to join our family and come on under The UpperRoom Events brand in your state. Yes! Your state. Instead of starting from the bottom, you are able to join a company that can take all the guesswork out for you and offer you support, training, knowledge and most of all brand recognition right from the start! To be successful, it is a rather simple formula, it combines passion about event planning, leadership and a desire to make clients happy by executing their dream event successfully! We provide on-going mentorship and support in marketing, public relations, obtaining qualified leads and venue partnerships. We also continually improve and encourage our planners to use our best techniques and tips for executing an event meticulously.

Apprenticeship Program
Are you thinking of starting your own event planning company or struggling with the current event planning company you have now? Do you want to avoid making crucial mistakes along the way? Then you’ve come to the right place. The Apprentice will spend 5 days with The UpperRoom Events learning practical, hands-on, experience which is nearly priceless. In The UpperRoom Events Apprenticeship Program, you will learn the secrets of contracts and timelines to actually planning and executing an event. This program will help you explore what it looks like to be an event planner, answer your challenging questions, direct you to the resources you need, guide you to coordinate your event and learning insider trade secrets and so much more. Planning is fun, but there's so much more to it and you will receive amazing information such as:

• A real inside look at how to plan an actual event
• Access to resources
• How to properly price your services and much more!

Five-Day Apprenticeship Program cost $1500. Number of days can be customized for the potential Apprentice! We are also available for phone consultation at an hourly rate if you are out of state and cannot participate in the Apprenticeship program.
Event Planning 101 – Getting Started Session
Like every great journey, we start at the beginning. GETTING STARTED is all about taking those first steps. With equal parts inspiration, ambition and vision we assemble your vision and start the journey of creating the next great event. The Event Planning 101 is for the client who wishes to experience the planning of their very own event but the idea of GETTING STARTED scares them. This one-on-one session provides everything you need to plan your own event. We will equip you with event planning tools and consultation for all of your event needs. We do not recommend coordinating the logistics on the day of your own event. So the Event Planning 101 session can be customized to include The UpperRoom Events Day of Coordination package.

Fee for Specific Programs
